Earthquake!

Can't believe I forgot about the most interesting part of my day in my last post.

Today, while Observing Spencer teach a private lesson in a tiny tiny classroom, I was taking notes when suddenly, I started to feel dizzy, as if the room was spinning. At first, I thought that maybe the kids in other classrooms were playing games or something, but I realized that hey, I'm in Japan and earthquakes happen all the time. The room was basically rocking back and forth slowly...almost gently. Earthquakes are an awe inspiring natural phenomenon. The ground is the one thing you expect to be stable...to never move. It's quite shocking and terrifying to realize that the very ground on which you walk is moving and changing. Anyhow, it was quite an experience...my first earthquake. There it is.
